Ban belakang gembos dua kali, rantai juga putus dua kali, dan pelek peyok lantaran ditabrak sepeda motor. Itulah pengalaman yang tak terlupakan bagi Wartono dan kawan-kawan menempuh perjalanan Tour ke Pulau Komodo, Flores Nusa Tehggara Timur (sekitar 2.000 km)  dan kembali lagi bersepeda ke Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes).

Hal itu dikisahkan kembali oleh Wartono, pemimpin rombongan Tour de Komodo sesampai di kampus Unnes, Jumat (1/7), setelah menempuh perjalanan jauh mengayuh sepeda start dari kampus Unnes 23 Juni lalu.

Tim Tour de Komodo terdiri atas Wartono, lulusan Jurusan Biologi FMIPA sebagai pemimpin rombongan, Rif’an Effendi  (Akuntansi FE), Dewan Dwi Anggoro (Pendidikan Luar Sekolah FIP), dan Adji Prabowo (Seni Musik FBS).

Kedatangan mereka disambut Rektor Prof  Sudijono Sastroatmodjo, para pembantu rektor, dekan, ketua lembanga, dan jajaran pimpinan di halaman Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan (FIP).

“Di Sumbawa Besar, ketika salah satu anggota tim keluar dari gang, ditabrak sepeda motor sehingga peleknya peyok. Pada hari itu juga kami membawanya ke tukang setel pelek untuk diperbaiki dan alhamdulillah teratasi,” kata Wartono.

Dia juga mengatakan, setelah keluar dari kota Sumbawa Besar, jalan menuju Dompu rusak parah. “Aspalnya mengelupas, tinggal batu sehingga ban belakang saya bocor dua kali. Sementara di Flores, sepeda Rif’an rantainya putus dua kali lalu dibawa ke bengkel motor,” katanya.

“Selama perjalaman kami singgah di perguruan tinggi untuk menyebarkan virus-virus konservasi yang disambut baik, bahkan yang kami kunjungi menyatakan ingin mengadopsi konsep konservasi. Antara lain di Universitas Negeri Surabaya (Unesa) disambut Pembantu Rektor Bidang Kemahasiswaan (PR III), di Universitas Udayana disambut PR III dan komunitas sepeda Bali, di Universitas Mataram disambut rektornya  yang ingin menjalin kerja sama dengan Unnes,” kata alumnus Biologi itu.

Watono mengemukakan, sesampai di Pulau Flores, rombongan berkunjung ke kantor bupati ditemui Wakil Bupati M Mokhdar dan jajarannya. “Beliau pernah berkunjung ke Unnes ketika sosialisasi UU Pramuka oleh Wapres Budiyono.  Beliau terkesan pada Unnes sebagai kampus konservasi dan menyatakan ingin sekali Kabupaten Ende bisa bekerja sama dengan Unnes. Bahkan sebagai bentuk apresiasi, beliau memberikan tiket kapal untuk pulang dari Ende sampai Surabaya.”

Dia juga menceritakan, setelah tiba di Ende disambut polres dan diantar mengunjungi tempat perenungan Pancasila (Situs Sukun Cabang V), tempat pengasingan Bung Karno selama 4 tahun  (1934-1938), dan Danau Kelimutu atau Danau Tiga Warna. “Menurut penduduk setempat, danau itu adalah tempat bersemayam arwah nenek moyang  yang sudah meninggal.”

Terakhir mereka berkunjung ke Universitas  Flores dan disambut PR III yang merasa terinpirasi atas kunjungan ke Pulau Komodo ini sehingga akan  membuat program bersepeda untuk mengangkat pariwisata Flores..

Wartono menambahkan, kegiatan bersepeda jarak jauh ini akan diagendakan setiap tahun. Rencana tahun depan akan tour de Thailand dengan personel yang berbeda.

  1. wah akhirnya kesampaian juga kawan…maaf kmrin tdak bisa ikut membantu…tpi berita yg berkembang sungguh hebat…..smga dg ini akn muncul tour2 yg membwa smnga konservasinya…..dan tujuan akhir mash menjdi hrpan brsma….mnju kiblat dunia…hehe smngat2……
