Dua tahun sudah program  Pendidikan Profesi Guru (PPG)  terlaksana. Model pendidikan berasrama dinilai bentuk paling ideal untuk mendidik guru masa depan yang profesional. Pendidikan berasrama memungkinkan pembentukan karakter guru secara intensif.

Di Unnes, program  yang telah berjalan hingga 3 angkatan ini telah meluluskan 268 mahasiswa PPG SM3T.  Sejak 2012, calon guru tersertifikasi yang menempuh PPG di Unnes wajib tinggal di asrama. Pasalnya, kode etik keprofesionalan guru dianggap perlu diajarkan lewat pendidikan berasrama.

“Asrama khusus calon guru tak boleh diwujudkan asal-asalan. Harus ada regulasi yang mengatur peserta asrama dari mulai bangun tidur hingga tidur kembali. Kurikulum non- akademik di asrama juga wajib dijadikan pertimbangan kelulusan untuk menanamkan karakter pendidik yang cakap kepribadian dan sosial,” ungkap Prof. AT. Soegito.

Wacana ini mengemuka dalam kegiatan Penyusunan Panduan Pendidikan Karakter Mahasiswa PPG Berasrama dalam Rangka Mempersiapkan Guru Profesional Masa Depan, Rabu (12/3) di Grand Wahid Hotel, Salatiga. Ikhtiar ini dilakukan untuk mewujudkan komitmen Unnes dalam memperkuat ciri Lembaga Pendidikan Tenaga Kependidikan (LPTK). Asrama mesti jadi tempat tinggal yang baik bagi peserta PPG SM-3T untuk membina karakter dan membumikan nuansa multikultural.

Senyampang dengan kurikulum pendidikan berasrama bagi peserta PPG, Prof Rasdi berpendapat, asrama tentu saja harus melahirkan guru yang dicita-citakan,  “harus punya keahlian dalam subject matter, pintar merancang perangkat pembelajaran, menguasai seni mengajar, dan pandai menimbang (evaluasi-red), “ ungkapnya.

Selain Prof Rasdi dan Prof AT Soegito, pertemuan yang diselenggarakan Lembaga Pengembangan Pendidikan dan Profesi (LP3) Unnes ini menghadirkan tiga narasumber lainnya, yaitu Prof Muhammad Jazuli, Prof Dr Maman Rahman MSc, dan Prof Dr Susanto.   1. mudah – mudahan bukan proyek baru menggagas ide guru ppg diasramakan. Pak Prof, kalau saya simpel saja dan tdk butuh dana banyak. guru yang ikut ppg, wajib mengajar dipesantren dan tinggal didalamnya selama 1 tahun atau 1 semester. Sudah lebih dari cukup untuk pembentukan karakter mahasiswa.
    kalau yang non muslim, menyesuaikan.
    Jadi tidak sekedar seperti pra jabatan bagi cpns. Pembentukan karakternya lebih ikhlas, tidak dipaksakan, dan menjadi pembiasaan

    Sebuah harapan bersama lulusan PPG tidak hanya profesional dalam bidang mengajar namun juga mempunyai karakter diri yang kuat sebagai kendali dalam setiap aktivitas baik di dalam maupun di luar aktivitas mengajar.

    setuju dengan pak didit, pembentukan karakter guru profesional, tidak harus tinggal satu tahun di asrama, menempatkan calon guru itu bisa dipesantren. insyaAllah 4 kompetensi guru dapat dibentuk di sana, terlebih kompetensi sosial dan kepribadian.

    pendidikan asrama mahasiswa itu sudah lama diterapkan di negeri jiran…kalau disana fasilitas kantin..wifi… lengkap…. dan komplek asramanya banyak dan bersih shg mereka terasa hidup di apattement, kehidupan tertib mnjadi kebiasaan… barangkali ini bisa menjadi referensi utk model pendidikan

    waduh, bukan sy anti barat bu Didi Nur J. Tp jangan selalu berkiblat kenegara lain. mari kita gali potensi negara kita. Belum tentu kan penerapan dinegara lain cocok untuk negara kita?
