Sebanyak 40 mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) dari berbagai fakultas melakukan Program Praktik Pengalaman Lapangan Internasional (PPL antarbangsa) di lima negara.

Kelima negara itu yakni Belgia 2 mahasiswa, Perancis 2 mahasiswa, Taiwan 6 orang, Thailand 10 mahasiswa, Vietnam 10 mahasiswa, dan Malaysia 10 mahasiswa.

Rektor Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman MHum saat melepas menyampaikan apresiasi atas dilaksanakan PPL Internasional diberbagai negara.

“PPL internasional ini merupakan langkah maju bagi UNNES karena sesuai dengan visi UNNES yakni Universitas Berwawasan Konservasi Bereputasi Internasional,” kata Rektor.

Rektor juga mengemukakan, bereputasi internasional yaitu UNNES diakui dikancah internasional, seperti yang dilakukan hari ini yakni pelepasan mahasiswa ber PPL ke luar negeri.

“Anda semua merupakan duta dari Indonesia, lebih khusus dari UNNES, untuk itu jagalah pergaulan di negera tempat anda PPL dan jangan ikut-ikutan berpolitik, fokuslah pada pembelajaran,” pesan Rektor.

Kepala Pusat PPL UNNES Drs Bambang Priyono MPd menyampaikan, mahasiswa yang ber PPL ini sebelumnya telah melakukan berbagai pembekalan diantaranya pembekalan bahas Inggris. Mereka akan melakukan PPL bervariasi lamanya ada yang 2 bulan, 6 bulan dan 10 bulan.

Pemberangkantan mulai untuk negara Thailand 15 Agustus, Vietnam dan Taiwan 5 September, Belgia 1 September, serta Perancis 1 November.
