Ada tiga hal yang memperkuat tujuh pilar konservasi yang diusung Universitas Negeri Semarang. Yakni pituah, pitutur, dan pitulungan.

“Sesuai dengan tujuh pilar konservasi yang di antaranya paperless, manajemen sampah, dan clean energy, tiga hal yang memperkokohnya pun berkonsep pitu,” tandas Rektor Unnes Prof Dr Sudijono Sastroatmodjo MSi, saat membuka rapat kerja Badan Pengembang Konservasi, Senin (20/2).

Rektor memaparkan, hal pertama adalah pituah atau petuah yang berarti nasihat. Dengan semangat mencapai tujuan bersama, keluarga besar universitas konservasi haruslah saling mengingatkan satu sama lain demi kebaikan dan kebersamaan.

Kedua adalah pitutur yang dapat dimaknai perbincangan (bertutur). Dalam konteks ini, berbagai ide maupun gagasan yang dilontarkan untuk kemajuan bersama, akan lebih matang jika mendapat masukan dari berbagai pihak.

Ketiga, pitulungan yang berarti tulung-tinulung (tolong-menolong). Selain bekerja sesuai dengan bidang masing-masing, semua lini di universitas konservasi juga diharuskan saling membantu.

Rektor mengatakan, semenjak 1965 hingga 2010 Universitas Negeri Semarang tidak banyak mendapat perhatian. Selama 45 tahun itu, seperti halnya universitas lain, perguruan tinggi eks-IKIP ini seakan sulit bersanding dengan universitas lain.

“Tak ubahnya manusia, 45 tahun memang usia yang matang untuk melakukan apapun, termasuk ketika tahun 2010 Unnes menjatuhkan pilihan pada konservasi. Selain hasil ikhtiar panjang, konservasi merupakan amanat yang harus dijalankan dengan segera,” ujarnya dihadapan puluhan pejabat, dosen, kepala biro, dan Pembantu Dekan Bidang Kemahasiswaan di lingkungan Unnes.

Konsekuensi dari hal itu, Rektor mengatakan, semua lini di universitas ini harus menjaga nilai-nilai luhur bangsa yang telah ada. “Manisfestasi dari tata nilai konservasi yang kita usung harus memberikan manfaat bagi sesama,” tuturnya.

Berkenaan dengan hari bahasa ibu yang diperingati hari ini (Selasa, 21/2), Rektor menegaskan supaya berbagai istilah lokal yang telah ada, hendaknya tetap dipertahankan sebagaimana mestinya. “Kalaupun berbahasa asing merupakan suatu kebutuhan, jangan pernah melupakan asal kita sendiri. Pitung pilar konservasi takjaluk dibasajawake nganggo tembung-tembung sing gampang dimangerteni (tujuh pilar konservasi saya minta dibahasajawakan dengan kata-kata yang mudah dimengerti),” ujarnya.

Masih berlebih

Kepala Badan Pengembang Konservasi Unnes Margaretha Rahayuningsih memaparkan hal yang telah dicapai selama ini. Capaian itu diantaranya telah dibuatnya sistem monitoring one man one treeSiomon”, dan makin banyaknya program penanaman utamanya di sekitar kampus Sekaran. “Hal yang menjadi koreksi adalah masih borosnya penggunaan listrik di lingkungan kampus, terutama penggunaan piranti pendingin ruangan,” katanya. Selain itu dia juga menyoroti penggunaan lift di gedung H. “Lift merupakan piranti dengan konsumsi listrik terbesar,” paparnya.

Menanggapi hal itu, Rektor menandaskan berbagai kendala harus diselesaikan tahun ini, termasuk borosnya penggunaan listrik. “Sesungguhnya bila sirkulasi udara dan cahaya yang masuk ke ruangan telah mencukupi, tidak dibutuhkan AC maupun lampu pada siang hari. Termasuk bila perlu lift dimatikan, toh naik tangga lebih sehat,” tandas Rektor serta menegaskan kembali visi Unnes sebagai universitas konservasi.

    Setuju pak Rektor, mari 3 hal penguat pilar konservasi “pituah, pitutur, dan pitulungan” kita implementasikan juga di semua UKM UNNES sehingga UKM-UKM dapat memberikan kontribusi yang lebih bagus di kampus konservasi tercinta ini.
