Sebanyak 16 mahasiswa dari delapan fakultas yang ada di Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) berpresentasi dengan bahasa Inggris berebut menjadi yang terbaik dalam pemilihan mahasiswa prestasi (Mapres) tingkat universitas di C7 kampus Sekaran (10/5).

Mereka adalah dari Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan (FIP) Dian Marta Wijaya jurusan PGSD, Muhamad Taufik Hidayat (PGSD); FBS Diana Purwaningrum, Jamat Jamil (Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris); FIS Nur Isnaini (Geografi), Arif Kkristiyono (Hkn); FMIPA Achmad Fauzan (Matematika), Dewangga Oky Bagus A (Kimia); FT Fajar Romadon (Pendidikan Teknik Mesin), Diyah Mustika Purwita (TJP); FIK Arief Abdul Malik (PJKR), Nur Isna Mayangsari (IKM); FE Saringatun Mudrikah dan Via Amalia (Pendidikan Ekonomi); dan dari FH Aura Patria Dilaga dan Abdul Kholiq jurusan Ilmu Hukum.

Pembantu Rektor Bidang Kemahasiswaan (PR III) Prof Masrukhi mengatakan secara bertahap seleksi Mapres ini sudah berlangsung dan pagi hari ini (Kamis 10/5). “Ketika melakukan presentasi dalam bahasa Inggris silakan tampil dengan tenang, jangan grogi, tanpa ada tekanan dan tunjukkan kepada dewan juri. Yakinlah kamu bisa, mampu, berhasil, dan sukses. Jika semangat positif itu selalu kalian biasakan setiap hari maka akan menghasilkan energi positif juga,” ajak Prof Masrukhi.

Ketua Panitia Edi Waluyo melaporkan pelaksanaan seleksi dimulai bulan April sampai dengan Mei. Tanggal 16 April telah dilaksanakan tes tulis bahasa Inggris yang diikuti 78 mahasiswa, setelah dinilai dewan juri diambil 16 peserta terbaik satu dan dua dari masing-masing fakultas. “Tanggal 10 Mei para peserta terbaik satu dan dua dari tiap fakultas tadi mempresentasikan dengan bahasa Inggris,” paparnya.

Sedangkan pada tanggal 21 Mei peserta akan mempresentasikan karya ilmiah, dan tanggal 23 Mei pengumuman hasil sekaligus penganugerahan Mapres oleh Rektor Unnes di auditorium kampus Sekaran.
