Di hadapan lebih dari 100 guru Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs), Prof Hardi Suyitno, pakar matematika Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (FMIPA) Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) menyampaikan materi Implementasi Kurikulum 2013. Forum yang dikemas dalam bentuk seminar itu digelar pada Minggu (1/12), di MTs Asy Syarifah Kecamatan Mranggen Demak.

Prof Hardi sengaja memilih turun ke MTs, “di lingkungan kementerian Agama khususnya MTs sama sekali belum terjamah, agar penerapan kurikulum baru ini lebih baik, lancar maka perlu pendampingan dan mengenalkan kepada mereka,” ungkapnya.

Dia juga menyampaikan, menurut sahabat Nabi Muhammad SAW, Ali bin Abu Tholib, “Didiklah anak-anakmu, kelak mereka akan mengalami jaman yang berbeda”. “Ini bukti bahwa hidup itu dinamis, begitu juga kurikulum, senantiasa berubah sesuai kondisi zaman,” katanya.

Menurut Prof Hardi, perubahan kurikulum sebuah keniscayaan. “Sekolah itu bagaikan negara. Di dalammya ada sistem yang secara dinamis berubah dan berkembang. Kepala madrasah dan guru bagian dari sistem itu,” katanya.

Prof Hardi mengibaratkan sebuah keluarga yang ingin masak nasi goreng, sebagai bahan dasarnya adalah nasi, sedangkan bumbu yang lain, ingin rasa apa, campurannya apa, yang biasa atau spesial tergantung kepada keinginan anggota keluarga.

Sedangkan negara, dasarnya Pancasila, sekolah, panduannya kurikulum, Kepala sekolah, guru, bagian integral dari itu. “Syarat yang harus dipenuhi agar pembelajaran berkualitas, pengembangan kurikulum sesuai dengan prosedur yang benar, waktu yang memadai, oleh orang-orang yang berkompeten dan siap serta supervisi yang baik,” katanya.

Dia menyatakan perlunya kerja sama antara sekolah dan pemangku kepentingan, perguruan tinggi. Karena MTs di bawah Kementerian Agama, maka ia harus mampu mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai agama termasuk karakter ke dalam setiap mata pelajaran.

Drs Ngabiyanto MSi selaku koordinator program mengemukakan, seminar yang dilaksanakan dalam program Professors Go to Schools ini tidak hanya untuk satu sekolah di MTs Asy Syarifah, tetapi sampai juga MTs se-Kecamatan Mranggen.

Menurutnya, program ini sengaja diluncurkan Unnes untuk membantu mencairkan masalah di sekolah terkait dengan pembelajaran, terutama dalam mengimplementasikan Kurikulum 2013.

“Sebagai jenderalnya perguruan tinggi, sosok profesor yang bertandang dan mengajar di sekolah, diharapkan jadi inspirasi dan motivator bagi guru maupun siswa dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran,” ujarnya.

Sementara itu, Ulin Nuha SS, Kepala MTs Asy Syarifah menyambut gembira prakarsa tersebut. Dia berkata, MTs yang dipimpinnya dan sekolah pada umumnya di Mranggen sangat membutuhkan kehadiran profesor.

Drs Pribadi MAg, pengawas MTs Mranggen mengapresiasi program ini. Dia mengemukakan, dengan pendampingan dan pembimbingan Prof Hardi, harapannya guru guru MTs akan paham membuat dan menyajikan perangkat pembelajaran yang benar sesuai dengan amanah kurikulum.
