Adapun tahapan yang telah dilakukan dalam penyusutan arsip meliputi: penilaian arsip, pengelompokan arsip, melihat Jadwal Retensi Arsip (JRA), pemindahan arsip, dan penyusutan arsip, dan dokumentasi dan pelaporan.
