Prof. Dr. Susilo, M.S. memperoleh gelar Sarjana  S1 Pend. Fisika IKIP Semarang (Lulus 1978), Magister S2 Fisika ITB Bandung (Lulus 1990), Doktor  S3 Kedokteran UNDIP Semarang (Lulus 2012), Peserta Program Basic Science – Riset Luar Negeri – di Free University Amsterdam – Netherland (tahun 1995), Peserta Program Visiting Professor di UTM Johor Bahru – Malaysia (tahun 2015).
