Located in the Video Conference Room, UNNES Rectorate, Semarang. Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) held a discussion to start cooperation with Guangxi Normal University, China on Thursday (26/10).
From UNNES, this event was attended by Vice Rector of Cooperation Affair, Prof. Sukestiyarno PhD, Head of International Office of UNNES, Intan Permata Hapsari, MPd, along with representatives from Faculty and study programs. Meanwhile, also attended by Deputy Director of International Office, Guo Xuan Bing and Head of International Admission, Chen Xiao Han as representative of Guangxi Normal University.
In his speech, Prof. Sukestiyarno said that UNNES welcomes the cooperation that will be conducted with Guangxi from study program to each faculty. Then, he offered cooperation in the form of student exchange, staff exchange, research collaboration, and double degree program.
From Guangxi, Guo Xuan Bing stated that his university has received about 15,000 foreign students, including 200 Indonesian students. For the program that has been done, the university has been sending its students to learn the language to Asian countries, such as Thailand. In addition, they also welcome foreign students from Thailand, Indonesia, and Vietnam to learn Mandarin.
In addition to the program, Xuan Bing also offers another program, which is a scholarship for foreign students who want to study in Guangxi with an additional 1 year program to study Chinese at the university.
