Tim kerja sama Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) berkunjung ke tiga Institusi di Netherlands, Stenden University Leuwarden, Gedung Arsip Nasional Den Haag, dan KITLV Leiden, 18-23 November 2013.

Tim yang terdiri dari Dr Subagyo (Dekan Fakultas Ilmu Sosial), Prof Wasino (Profesor bidang Sejarah) dan Hendi Pratama (Staff Ahli Rektor Bidang Kerjasama Luar Negeri) mempunyai pemikiran, Belanda merupakan salah satu negara terkemuka di Eropa. Belanda memainkan peranan penting dalam pembentukan sejarah baik di Eropa maupun bagi Indonesia. Sebagai negara yang telah menduduki Indonesia selama ratusan tahun, Belanda memiliki banyak arsip yang berhubungan Indonesia.

Laporan ke unnes.ac.id (26/11), Hendi Pratama mengatakan, Unnes ingin memperluas hubungan kerja sama dengan Stenden University Leuwarden, universitas ini memfokuskan dirinya pada teknologi terapan dan pendidikan terapan serta mencetak lulusan siap kerja. “Ini cocok dilakukan di Unnes menghasilkan lulusan yang mampu menerapkan ilmu pengetahuan dan ketrampilan, diaplikasikan di masyarakat untuk meningkatkan taraf hidup dan kesejahteraan masyarakat,” ujarnya.

Menurutnya, kerja sama dilakukan dalam bidang kolaborasi riset, internasionalisasi pendidikan, kesempatan studi lanjut. Tim dari Unnes diterima oleh Prof Robert Coelen, Jo Honderd dan Lonne Postma. Prof Robert Coelen, Pembantu Rektor bidang Internasionalisasi Universitas menerangkan, visi misi Stenden yang berusaha untuk mengakomodasi kebutuhan tenaga kerja internasional dengan lulusan yang siap pakai, Unnes belajar banyak dengan masuk kelas PBL (problem based learning), dan dapat modul dari Stenden University.

Hendi mengatakan, bercermin dari Universitas tersebut, pencerahan bagi Unnes untuk mengembangkan infrastruktur dengan cita rasa internasional. Kelas yang nyaman dan tidak kaku, kantin yang memiliki kebersihan dan menu yang lengkap, tempat untuk diskusi dan internet yang lapang dan nyaman, ruang staf yang nyaman dan tidak kaku dan kantor yang layak untuk profesor, dosen dan peneliti.

Hasil diskusi Tim Unnes dengan Prof Bernard Arps, Profesor Bahasa dan Kebudayaan Indonesa dan Jawa dan juga dengan Prof David Henley, Profesor Studi Indonesia Kontemporer. Leiden sangat membutuhkan mahasiswa S3 dari Indonesia, Unnes akan menyiapkan dosen terbaiknya kuliah di Leiden. Di sisi lain secara Pribadi Prof Bernard Arps menyatakan tertarik pada penelitian Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman mengenai budaya dan bahasa Banyumasan dan juga sastra pesantren, dia lebih lanjut akan kolaborasi riset pada topik tersebut.

“Selain itu, Tim Unnes juga mempelajari arsip tentang Indonesia yang ada di gedung Arsip Nasional, Den Haag dan di KITLV Leiden,” ungkap Hendi

Ia juga mengatakan, di gedung Arsip ini, dapat mengetahui bagaimana arsip dari berbagai jaman dan topik yang berbeda dapat disusun dan dipelihara dengan baik. “Pengalaman ini dapat menjadi masukan yang berharga dalam pengelolaan arsip di Unnes, penting Unnes segera mengangkat PNS fungsional Arsiparis,” tambah Hendi Pratama.

Begitu juga di KITLV, di gedung pusat studi Indonesia dan Karibia ini memiliki koleksi arsip terlengkap administrasi pemerintah Belanda selama di Indonesia, meliputi catatan sejarah, perencanaan ruang dan wilayah tata kota, catatan sipil, pengangkatan dan pemberhentian pejabat serta arsip penting lainnya. Arsip di KITLV pun telah digitalisasi dan dapat diakses dari websiteya. “Unnes dapat memaksimalkan penggunaan arsip tersebut untuk meningkatkan produk riset Unnes,” kata Hendi
