Fakultas Hukum (FH) Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) terus berupaya mengembangkan budaya akademik dan kerjasama strategis dengan berbagai Universitas di luar negeri untuk mendukung UNNES menuju tahun internasionalisasi. Setidaknya, keseriusan ini terbukti dengan diadakannya Focus Group Discussion (FGD) di Fakultas Hukum UNNES, Rabu (24/1) di GSG Dekanat FH UNNES.

FGD yang diadakan Bagian Hukum Tata Negara dan Hukum Administrasi Negara Fakultas Hukum UNNES ini, menghadirkan dua pembicara yakni Jhon H Aycock JD dan Dr Jason Buhi dari Peking University, Tiongkok.

Ketua Bagian Hukum Tata Negara dan Hukum Administrasi FH Dani Muhtada PhD mengatakan, ini sebagai bentuk atau bukti bahwa Fakultas Hukum serius untuk mengembangkan budaya akademik dan kerjasama sinergis dengan universitas di luar negeri.

Jhon H Aycock memberikan kuliah dengan tema China’s Impact on the Western Legal Tradition and the Globalization of Legal Education: A Preview from the Pearl River Delta. Sedangkan Dr Jason Buhi mengangkat tema the Edges of Autonomy: Legal Issues between Hong Kong and Mainland China after the Handover.

Sementara itu, Ketua panitia FGD Saru Arifin SH LLM menambahkan kegiatan FGD ini dihadiri oleh sekitar 85 peserta baik pimpinan, dosen, staf, dan mahasiswa S1 dan S2 Fakultas Hukum serta peserta mitra FH UNNES.

Selama kunjungannya ini, pihak Fakultas Hukum mengharapkan kedepan ada mahasiswa Fakultas Hukum yang akan dikirim untuk belajar dan melaksanakan Kuliah Kerja Lapangan di Peking University, China, jelas Saru Arifin.

Pada kesempatan ini ditanda tangani minutes of meeting (MoM). Diharapkan dengan adanya kegiatan ini Fakultas Hukum semakin berkembang dalam Academic cooperation dan student exchange di masa yang akan datang.
