Dalam rangka memasuki Masyarakat Ekonomi ASEAN (MEA) yang efektif dimulai awal 2016, Indonesia harus siap menghadapinya.

Mau tidak mau kita dihadapkan pada persaingan antara negara ASEAN yang menuntut kesiapan seluruh komponen bangsa.

Tidak dipungkiri persaingan bebas atas barang, jasa, maupun sumber daya manusia antarnegara ASEAN juga terjadi, sehingga kita harus menyiapkan untuk menyongsong itu.

Rektor Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman MHum menyampaikan itu saat membuka seminar nasional dengan tema Peran dan Ekspektasi Pendidikan Nonformal dalam Menghadapi Masyarakat Ekonomi ASEAN (MEA), Sabtu (9/5) di hotel Grasia Semarang.

Seminar yang diselenggarakan Jurusan PNF Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan Unnes diikuti 300 orang lebih dari kalangan akademisi baik negeri mapun swasta seluruh Indonesia, Pusat Pengembangan Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini Non Formal dan Informal (P2PAUDNI) regional II Jawa Tengah (Jateng) dan DIY, Dinas Pendidikan Bidang Pendidikan Non Formal (PNF) seluruh Jateng, serta mahasiswa PNF S1 dan S2 Unnes.

Menurut Rektor, Unnes sudah siap melakukan kurikulum berbasis Kerangka Kualifikasi Nasional Indonesia (KKNI) yang dicanangkan oleh pemerintah. KKNI itu meliputi penjaminan mutu kelembagaan, penjaminan mutu proses, dan penjaminan mutu lulusan.

Gubernur Jateng Ganjar Pronowo diwakili Kepala Dinas Pendidikan Provinsi Jateng Drs Nurhadi Amiyanto MEd menyampaikan, pemberlakukan pasar bebas, Indonesia tidak dapat membatasi masuknya tenaga kerja asing, terutama dari negara ASEAN. Oleh karana itu, kalau kualitas SDM kita masih biasa-biasa saja, kompetensinya kurang memadai, mentalnya belum siap, kemampuan bahasa inggrisnya juga grothal-grathul pasti kebutuhan SDM di dunia kerja diisi oleh warga negara asing.

Untuk itu, SDM kita harus memiliki kemampuan terukur dan keunggulan kompetitif. Kalau tidak terukur, dan tidak unggul, pasti SDM kita tidak laku.

Sedangkan, Ir Khaerul Anwar MM Direktur Jenderal Pembinaan Pelatihan dan Produktivitas Kementerian Ketenagakerjaan Republik Indonesia menyampaikan, peran strategis KKNI diantaranya memberikan pengakuan nasional secara konsisten terhadap luaran pendidikan dan pelatihan, integrasi dan korelasi antara jenjang karier dan jenjang kualifikasi.

Selain itu, juga memberi arah yang jelas kepada setiap individu untuk mengembangkan kompetensinya baik dalam bidang pendidikan maupun pelatihan, mendorong optimalisasi sumber daya pendidikan dan pelatihan, dan mendorong tercapainya pengakuan nasional dan internasional terhadap setiap kualifikasi yang dikembangkan di Indonesi.
