Jurusan Biologi Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (MIPA) Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) menyelenggarakan workshop tentang pengembangan dokumen transfer kredit bekerjasama dengan Fakultas Bioscience and Medical Enggineering Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Selasa (7/11).

Workshop yang diselenggarakan di gedung D6 lt. 3 FMIPA ini merupakan salah satu rangkaian kegiatan hibah World Class Professor Scheme B yang dikoordinatori oleh Prof Amin Retnoningsih dan Prof Enni Suwarsi Rahayu dari Jurusan Biologi UNNES.

Workshop tentang alih kredit ini dibagi menjadi dua sesi. Pada sesi yang pertama narasumber yang melakukan presentasi adalah Prof Sukestiyarno MS PhD dan Dr Ratna Dewi.

Dalam pemaparannya, Prof Sukestiyarno menjelaskan beberapa kebijakan Rektor UNNES berkaitan dengan target dan indikator kinerja UNNES untuk mempersiapkan tahun Internasionalisasi.

“Nawa Target yang menjadi prioritas UNNES sebagai universitas yang bereputasi internasional meliputi peningkatan rangking dan rating internasional, akreditasi internasional, kelas internasional, dan mahasiswa internasional”, jelas Prof Sukes yang saat ini tengah menjabat sebagai Wakil Rektor bidang Perencanaan dan Kerjasama UNNES.

Selain itu, tambahnya, mobilitas dosen dan mahasiswa internasional, riset dan publikasi internasional, buku internasional, reputasi dan prestasi mahasiswa internasional, dan pusat  unggulan inovasi dan H-KI menjadi hal yang sangat UNNES perhatikan.

Sementara, narasumber kedua Dr Ratna Dewi Kusumaningtyas berbagi pengalaman menarik seputar program kredit transfer yang dikelola oleh UNNES bekerjasama dengan universitas-universitas luar negeri bertaraf internasional.

“Untuk mengikuti program bergengsi seperti ini, kita perlu memperhatikan beberapa hal diantaranya pemilihan mata kuliah yang relevan, sinkronisasi dan ekuivalensi mata kuliah di UNNES dengan universitas mitra”, jelas Dosen Fakultas Teknik tersebut.

Selain membagikan pengalaman akademiknya, Ia juga memberikan tips dan strategi dalam membangun kerjasama dengan universitas di luar negeri untuk kegiatan pertukaran mahasiswa.

Pada sesi kedua, workshop lebih fokus membahas tentang peluang alih kredit antara jurusan Biologi FMIPA UNNES dengan fakultas Bioscience and Medical Engineering UTM.

Prof Fahrul dari Fakultas Bioscience and Medical Engineering UTM memberikan gambaran umum tentang program studi dan struktur kurikulum di fakultas Bioscience and Medical Engineering UTM.

“Di UTM juga terdapat program studi Biologi dan program studi Biologi Industri. Kurikulum yang dikembangkan untuk program studi Biologi didasarkan pada pengintegrasian antara biologi tradisional dan biologi modern sedangkan untuk program studi Biologi Industri, pengembangan kurikulum dilakukan dengan mengintegrasikan multidisiplin ilmu yang meliputi bioteknologi biru (biotek lingkungan), bioteknologi putih (biotek industri), bioteknologi hijau (biotek pertanian), dan bioteknologi merah (bio farmasi)”, papar Prof Fahrul.

Pada dasarnya, tambah Prof FAHRUL, terdapat banyak kemiripan mata kuliah baik dari segi nama maupun substansinya. Hal ini merupakan modal yang baik dalam program alih kredit pertukaran mahasiswa antara UNNES dan UTM.

Sementara Dr Saiful menjelaskan terkait struktur kurikulum dan mata kuliah yang ada di jurusan biologi UNNES dan beberapa mata kuliah yang berpotensi untuk dialihkreditkan.

“Melalui program ini, UNNES berharap dapat terus bekerjasama dengan UTM. Program transfer kredit ini menjadi langkah UNNES sebagi universitas berwawasan konservasi dan bereputasi internasional”, pungkas Dr Saiful.

Pada akhir sesi workshop, peserta berdiskusi tentang teknis perencanaan hingga pelaksanaan program alih kredit untuk kedua universitas. Setelah terbentuk dokumen petunjuk teknis alih kredit, maka dapat segera diprogramkan oleh UNNES dan UTM untuk dapat dilaksanakan pada tahun yang akan datang.
