Berbisnis dan menjalankan roda ekonomi sesungguhnya ibarat menyetir mobil. Diperlukan cara yang berbeda agar berjaya di tanjakan yang biasanya menjadi pusat kemacetan. Ketika para ekonom dan pengamat menyampaikan ekonomi Indonesia tengah berjaya, kita justru bakal menyaksikan ribuan pengusaha Indonesia terkapar di tanjakan karena ulahnya sendiri.

“Harus diakui bahwa kita kurang terampil bermanuver di tanjakan, kurang siap menjadi pengusaha besar, di jalan yang menanjak kok malah terkapar,” ungkap Prof Rhenald Kasali, Ketua Program Pascasarjana Ilmu Manajemen Fakultas Ekonomi Universitas Indonesia saat menjadi pembicara pada acara Eco-Entrepreneurship Seminar dan Call for Paper dengan tema “Improving Performance by Improving Environment” di ruang Poncowati Hotel Patra Jasa Semarang, Kamis (15/3).

Untuk mengantisipasi kejadian tersebut, menurutnya, ada beberapa masalah yang perlu dicermati. Pertama, tanjakan itu berarti kompetisi melewati puncak. Semua orang ingin ikut ke atas, membuat tanjakan menjadi crowded. Kedua, kompetisi berarti perebutan pasar. Akibatnya, pelanggan bisa berkurang. Ketiga, kompetisi berarti variety. Pasar akan punya variety atau variasi pilihan yang sangat luas. Ini berarti kota-kota besar yang selama ini dibidik akan mengalami kesumpekan. Konsumen punya uang tetapi pilihannya jadi lebih luas, yang dibelanjakan jadi sedikit, sementara di daerah pinggiran terjadi sebaliknya.

Keempat, kompetisi mendorong harga turun ke bawah, hanya yang melakukan restrukturisasi biaya produksilah yang akan menang. Kelima, kompetisi juga berarti rebutan sumber daya mulai dari bahan baku sampai buruh. “Memang ada sejuta pilihan. Pemilih yang tepat bukan hanya bertahan, melainkan menang. Jangan lagi terkapar, apalagi di tanjakan,” kata Prof Rhenald.

Pembicara lain, Prof Masrukhi MPd mengatakan, keterpurukan berbangsa dan bernegara saat ini memberikan pelajaran yang sangat berharga untuk menjadi cermin kita bersama dalam menatap masa depan bangsa. “Kerusakan mental dan moral menjadi akar dari segalanya,” kata Pembantu Rektor Bidang Kemahasiswaan Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes).

Menurutnya, menatap masa depan Indonesia hendaknya tidak didasari rasa pesimisme, optimisme harus selalu ditumbuhkembangkan. Indonesia tetap merupakan bangsa yang kaya akan potensi sumber daya, baik sumber daya alam, sumber daya manusia, maupun sumber daya pendukung.

“Kita pun masih memiliki warisan kristalisasi nilai-nilai luhur bangsa berupa Pancasila yang mampu merekatkan seluruh potensi kekuatan yang ada menjadi bersatu padu membangun negeri ini,” ujarnya.

Jika dikelola dengan baik dan didasari oleh karakter Pancasila serta dikawal pemimpin yang amanah, lanjut Masrukhi, bukan tidak mungkin Indonesia akan tumbuh menjadi kekuatan besar di muka bumi ini.

Nila Maya Dwirihandjani dari Bank Mandiri juga tampil sebagai pembicara pada acara yang diselenggarakan oleh Jurusan Manajemen Fakultas Ekonomi Unnes itu.

Menurut Ketua Panitia Moh Khoirudin MSi, kegiatan yang berlangsung dua hari (14-15/3) itu digelar dalam rangka Dies Natalis Ke-47 Unnes. “Kegiatan ini merupakan wujud kontribusi nyata Jurusan Manajemen Fakultas Ekonomi Unnes untuk menumbuhkembangkan kewirausahaan yang beretika dan berwawasan lingkungan,” kata Khoirudin.
