Tiga dosen Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) akan mempresentasikan konsep universitas konservasi dan multikulturalisme di Stenden University, Leeuwarden, Belanda pada Selasa – Jumat (19-22/11). Ketiga dosen tersebut adalah Prof Dr Wasino MHum, Dr Subagyo MPd, dan Hendi Pratama SPd MA.

Atas undangan Stenden University mereka juga dijadwalkan menjalin kerja sama dalam  kolaborasi riset dan penyelenggaraan program gelar ganda. Selain itu, delegasi ditugaskan mempelajari arsip sejarah kemerdekaan di gedung arsip Den Haag dan perpustakaan KITLV (Royal Netherlands Institute of Southeast Asian and Caribbean Studies) di Leiden.

“Jadikan kunjungan kita ke Belanda untuk menjalin kerja sama seluas-luasnya. Tidak hanya dalam bentuk MoU dan MoA, tapi kerja sama keilmuan yang lebih spesifik,” pesan Rektor Unnes Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman MHum saat melepas delegasi.

Ia berharap, delegasi Unnes mempromosikan Unnes kepada masyarakat internasional. “Buat mereka tahu, kenal, dan jatuh cinta kepada Unnes dan kepada Indonesia,” lanjutnya.

Ke Estonia

Selain ke Belanda, pada tanggal yang sama Unnes juga akan mengirimkan delegasi ke Estonia. Tiga dosen Unnes yaitu Dr Sugianto, Ali Formen MEd, dan Henny Murtini MSi akan menghadiri pertemuan internasional akademisi yang diselenggarakan The European Association for International Education (IAIE) di Tallin, Estonia.

Ketiganya akan bergabung dengan ahli dan praktisi perguruan tinggi dari seluruh dunia untuk membahas isu terkini mengenai internasionalisasi perguruan tinggi beserta implikasinya terhadap kebutuhan promosi dan stratedi pemasaran peguruan tinggi.

Pengiriman delegasi ke Estonia menjadi bagian dari upaya besar menjadikan Unnes menjadi universitas konservasi bertaraf internasional yang sehat, unggul, dan sejahtera pada 2020. Upaya lain yang dilakukan Unnes antara lain mengembangkan kurikulum berstandar internasional bagi 10 program studi pada 2014.
