Pemahaman tentang berbagai permasalahan lembaga keuangan dan perbankan di Indonesia, sangatlah penting diketahui oleh mahasiswa Prodi Ekonomi.

Sejalan dengan itu, sebagai wujud realisasi dan tindak lanjut kerja sama Unnes dengan Bank Indonesia (BI), pada semester genap 2013/2014 ini, Prodi Ekonomi Pembangunan Fakultas Ekonomi Universitas Negeri Semarang (FE Unnes), mendatangkan dosen tamu praktisi dari BI.

Empat dosen tamu dijadwalkan mengajar selama enam kali tiap semesternya. Kuliah itu akan diakhiri perkuliahan field trip satu kali kunjungan ke kantor BI.

Jimmy Katon, salah satu dosen tamu dari BI memberikan materi kebijakan moneter dan stabilitas sistem keuangan, sedangkan materi lain yang diberikan yakni kelembagaan BI, lembaga keuangan dan perbankan, perbankan syariah, dan sistem pembayaran.

Ketua Jurusan Ekonomi Pembangunan, Dr Sucihatiningsih Dian WP, mengatakan mahasiswa akan mengenal materi mengenai update perbankan langsung dari praktisi.

Menurutnya,  program ini sangat efektif meningkatkan output lulusan, cepat bekerja, dan masa tunggu lulusan menjadi semakin singkat. “Terbukti tidak kurang 60 persen diterima bekerja diberbagai bank negeri maupun swasta,” kata Dr Suci.
