Setelah ditandatanganinya Nota Kesepahaman antara Rektor Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman MHum dengan Duta Besar Republik Indonesia di Singapura I Gede Ngurah Swajaya, Kamis 30 Maret di UNNES kemarin, hari ini Jumat (31/3) Atase Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan KBRI Singapura beraudiensi dengan rektor UNNES di rektorat UNNES kampus Sekaran Gunungpati.

Atase Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan KBRI Singapura Prof Dr Ir Aisyah Endah Palupi MPd menyampaikan, pada ruang lingkup Nota Kesepahaman disebutkan antara lain pengembangan tri dharma perguruan tinggi, peningkatan kualitas sumber daya manusia dan IPTEK untuk itu silakan mengimplementasikan kerja sama ini dari pihak Atase KBRI Singapura akan menjembataninya.

Kegiatan itu diantaranya bisa mahasiswa UNNES melakukan Praktek Pengalaman Lapangan (PPL) antarbanga di sekolah Indonesia Singapura, magang, dan pengabdian kepada masyarakat.

PPL itu sangat penting untuk melatih mahasiswa memiliki kemampuan menggunakan ilmu yang dipelajarai dalam situasi nyata, baik kegiatan mengajar maupun kegiatan non mengajar agar menjadi tenaga guru profesional.

Selain itu, Atase KBRI juga memberi kesempatan kepada dosen UNNES untuk melaksanakan Joint Research Universitas di Singapura.

Rektor UNNES Prof Fathur Rokhman menyampaikan, perguruan tinggi itu harus meningkatkan kapasitas sumber daya manusia. Selain itu juga melakukan kerjasama dengan baik berinovasi dan persaingan di dunia.

UNNES melakukan budaya saing dan bersanding dengan universitas di dunia. Dengan budaya bersanding UNNES bisa sejajar dengan perguruan tinggi lainnya.

Untuk pelaksanaan PPL Antarbangsa UNNES memfokuskan kepada mahasiswa pada 10 program studi internasional yang sudah dirintis sehingga saat pelaksanaan tidak ada kendala baik itu bahasa maupun budaya. Dengan adanya perluasan kerjasama internasional ini dapat meningkatkan reputasi UNNES.
