Untuk dapat menjadi penulis dalam publikasi ilmiah internasional, dibutuhkan strategi khusus. Para dosen atau peneliti harus banyak berlatih menulis artikel yang memenuhi standar publikasi jurnal internasional sebagaimana peribahasa “practice makes perfect“.

Dr Joshua Robert Snider menyatakan hal itu ketika menjadi pembicara Worshop Penulisan Artikel untuk Publikasi Jurnal Bereputasi di Dekanat Fakultas Hukum (FH) Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes), Kampus Sekaran Gunungpati, Rabu (20/1)

“Secara umum, proses penting yang harus dicermati oleh para penulis jurnal internasional adalah bagaimana mengembangkan ide, bagaimana dasar-dasar penulisan artikel yang memenuhi standar jurnal internasional, serta bagaimana proses mempublikasikan artikel tersebut dalam jurnal internasional, “ kata dosen Nottingham University Malaysia.

Wakil Dekan Bidang Akademik Dr Martitah mengatakan acara ini merupakan tidak lanjut dari kerja sama yang telah terjalin beberapa waktu yang lalu, “ saya berharap kegiatan ini bisa meningkatkan minat dosen untuk menulis jurnal internasional agar dapat mewujudkan Unnes sebagai rumah ilmu yang yang berreputasi internasional,” ujarnya ketika membuka acara.

Selain Jusua Robert, acara yang dihadiri ratusan dosen dan mahasiswa FH ini juga menampilkan Pemimpin Redaksi The Indonesian Journal of International and Comparative Law Pranoto Iskandar sebagai pembicara.
