Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) merupakan universitas yang sangat memperhatikan pentingnya dunia pendidikan, khususnya kualitas pendidik yang menjadi faktor penting dalam sebuah pembelajaran.

Melalui Program Professor Goes to School yang diselenggarakan Rabu (23/8) lalu di SDN Bojong Salaman 01 Semarang, 52 guru SD negeri dan swasta se Kecamatan Semarang Barat diberi arahan bagaimana menjadi pendidik yang profesional dan berkarakter.

Acara ini bertajuk “Membangun Pendidik yang Profesional dan Berkarakter dalam Proses Belajar Mengajar Menuju Pendidik yang Cerdas”. Pembicara dalam acara ini yaitu Prof Dr Tri Joko Raharjo MPd.

Prof Tri Joko menunturkan seorang pendidik yang profesional dan berkarakter harus mengajar dengan 5 H yakni Heart (hati), Head (Kepala), Hand (Tangan), Health (Kesehatan), Humanities (Kemanusiaan), dan Heritage (Kekayaan).

Mengajar di bidangapapun, sesungguhnya setiap pendidik dapat menerapkan pendidikan bagi para muridnya, yakni mengajar dengan hati (cinta kasih). Pada umumnya pendidik kurang memiliki cinta kasih pada muridnya tidak seasli cinta kasih orang tuanya.

Pendidik seharusnya dapat menunjukkan rasa cinta kasih dengan sikap ramah tamah, sabar, terbuka, dan mau mengerti kesulitan-kesulitan murid.

Prof Tri Joko menjelaskan, Menjadi guru jangan hanya ingin menjadi orang yang didengarkan, tetapi juga harus bersedia mendengarkan kesulitan yang dihadapi oleh muridnya, prinsip dasar inilah yang sering dilupakan seorang pendidik.

Prof Tri Joko menambahkan, selain 5 H pendidik juga harus membudayakan 6 S yakni Senyum, Sapa, Salam, Sabar, Sehat, dan Syukur. Dengan menerapkan 5 H dan 6S ini ilmu yang diajarkan pendidik akan diterima dengan baik oleh murid.
