Untuk mempercepat pengembangan Tonnis di kalangan masyarakat Indonesia kita mulai dari dunia pendidikan dulu, entah itu sekolah atau mahasiswa untuk mengembangkan di daerah.

Setelah berkembang di daerah, nanti bisa berdampak pada pengembangan di masyarakat. Harapan kita ada Pengurus Besar di atas, tapi harus dimulai dari bawah dulu. Yakni mulai dari masing-masing Pemerintah Kabupaten, Pemerintah Kota agar menjadi fondasi untuk mengembangkan Tonnis ini.

Ketika sudah berkembang di Pemerintah Kabupaten dan Pemerintah Kota nanti menjadi satu bagian dari kelembagaan yang bisa dinaungi di bawah pengurus besar.

Deputi Bidang Pembinaan Prestasi Kemenegpora Prof Dr Djoko Pekik Irianto menyampaikan itu saat membuka “Tonnis Open Tournament” Piala Rektor Ke-VII dalam rangka Dies Natalis ke-50 Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) Jumat (20/3) di kampus Sekaran. Kegiatan berlangsung Jumat samapai Minggu (20-22/3).

Ke depan, kata Prof Djoko kalau dikembang nanti tidak hanya sebagai olahraga rekreasi dalam kependidikan , tapi bisa menjadi salah satu olahraga prestasi di Indonesia pada khususnya dan berbagai iven di manca negara.

“Unnes harus buat program yang terencana dengan baik bagaimana mempiarkan mensosialisasikan sampai dengan bagaimana agar bisa dimainkan lapisan masyarakat,” kata Prof Djoko.

Hal yang paling gampang dilakukan yakni kerjasama dengan masing-masing perguruan tinggi yang ada didaerah toh peralatan dan lapangannya tidak perlu yang mahal-mahal sehingga tidak menjadi kendala, imbaunya.

Pemenang

Pertandingan diakhiri dengan pertandingan beregu putra antara Pengadilan Tinggi Agama melawan Lintang Trenggono yang dimenangkan oleh tim Pengadilan Tinggi Agama dengan skor 2 : 1. Sehingga Pengadilan Tinggi Agama memboyong piala bergilir.

Sedangkan pemenang cabang lainnya yakni Ganda perorangan 50+ keluar sebagai juara I dipasangan Jarot/Sugeng (lintang Trenggono) 2 : 0, Juara II pasangan Warno/Suparman (Dinpora), juara III bersama Supriyo/Edi (Demak Kota).

Ganda Putri 30+ juara I Rita/Eny (Dinpora), juara II Dr Wahyu/Titik (Semarang), Juara III Ani Lutfiah/Siti Wulan.

Ganda Putri Perorangan 30- juara I Alif/ Ima (Unnes 1), juara II Aulia/Fatima (Smart), juara III Mutiara/Finandya (UNY).

Tingkat SD, juara I pasangan Fauza R/M Abid (SD Isriyati) skor 2:0, juara II Abriyanto/Doffa (SD IT Assalam), juara III Hasfi/Hoga (SD Almadina).
