Kalau Arswendo, seorang pengarang mengatakan mengarang itu gampang, maka menulis berita atau karya jurnalistik itu juga gampang. “Namun, harus memahami dulu tujuannya apa seseorang itu menulis dan menguasai dasar-dasar atau rumus penulisannya,” kata Dwi Ariadi, wartawan Suara Merdeka yang bertugas di wilayah Tega ketika menjadi narasumber pada pelatihan jurnalistik bagi mahasiswa dan dosen Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar (PGSD) Universitas Negeri Semarang Kampus Tegal, Jumat (13/7).

Tulisan jurnalistik, menurut Dwi, merupakan hasil olah pikir atau pengamatan suatu peristiwa yang diungkapkan secara tertulis. Berdasarkan fungsinya ada lima jenis, yaitu narasi atau cerita, deskripsi atau penggambaran, eksposisi atau keterangan, argumentasi, dan refleksi. Bahasa jurnalistik juga tidak beda dengan bahasa tulisan lainnya. “Kecuali beberapa kekhususan yang dimiliki, yaitu lugas, singkat, padat, sederhana, lancar dalam arti keteraturan urutan peristiwa, menarik, dan netral,” katanya di hadapan 55 peserta pelatihan.

Fungsi Humas

Sebelumnya, Sucipto Hadi Purnomo, Kepala UPT Pusat Humas Unnes mengungkapkan, setiap civitas akademika adalah humas bagi Universitas Konservasi, sehingga wajib menjelaskan ke luar maupun ke dalam tentang perkembangan yang terjadi di Unnes. “Warnai setiap media, baik internal maupun eksternal, sehingga informasi mengenai PGSD bisa menggema di luar sana,” kata Sucipto.

Acara dibuka oleh pengelola PGSD Tegal yang diwakili Utoyo. Dia berharap ke depan, kegiatan serupa bisa dilaksanakan dengan jumlah jam yang lebih banyak.

Utoyo juga berharap walaupun pelatihan hanya digelar sehari, yang terpenting peserta mampu mengaplikasikan ilmu yang didapat dari pelatihan ini. “Saya mengharapkan ke depan akan ada lagi pelatihan seperti ini, sehingga PGSD Tegal mampu memberikan informasi ke dalam maupun keluar dengan sebaik-baiknya,” katanya

  1. setuju dengan kalimat pak Sucipto, “setiap civitas akademika adalah humas bagi Universitas Konservasi, sehingga wajib menjelaskan ke luar maupun ke dalam tentang perkembangan yang terjadi di Unnes”
    apalagi sekarang sudah banyak media publikasi untuk menulis, bisa blog, website, twitter, facebook, dan beragam social media lain.

    mau tidak mau, suka tidak suka, Unnes juga besar karena media. coba dari dulu mas sucipto dkk direkrut untuk menangani kehumasan di Unnes. yah, memang kadang kesadaran datang “agak’ terlambat. kemajuan Unnes lewat kinerja humas nya patut ditiru oleh kalangan manapun. sayang jika humas sering dipahami “hanya” menjadi koordinator muyen, kondangan, maupun takziah. lagi lagi suka atau tidak suka, fungsi humas di kebanyakan instansi, terutama di institusi pendidikan masih seperti itu. coba deh cek ke humas yang ada di sekolah-sekolah. bisa ndak mereka sekadar membuat siaran pers? kenal ndak mereka dengan wartawan-wartawan di daerahnya? atau, berapa buah berita yang berhasil dikliping dalam setahun yang memberitakan tentang institiusinya? saya yakin hasilnya masih jauh dari ideal. kalau di institusi swasta sih sepertinya agak mendingan… setuju mboten mas sucipto? salam buat pak sudijono, pak masrukhi, pak agus wahyudin, pak asikhin, dll.. mereka adalah guru-guru saya yang memberi pelajaran lapangan bahwa Unnes besar lewat media.

  3. Betul sekali, menulis (berita) itu gampang. menulis buku itu gampang. menulis, pada dasarnya, memang gampang. yang membuatnya menjadi (terlihat) tidak gampang adalah terlalu lama dipikir, sehingga tidak jadi menuli, hehehe..:-)
