Berdasarkan kebutuhan kesehatan bagi siswa SMP, SMA, dan SMK, diperlukan mata pelajaran yang mengajarkan perihal kesehatan. Untuk itu, perlu segera dibuka Program S1 Kependidikan Kesehatan untuk mencetak guru pendidikan kesehatan.

Hal tersebut mengemuka dalam Focus Group Discussion bertema ”Peluang Tenaga Kesehatan Masyarakat dalam Bidang Kependidikan” di Jurusan Ilmu Kesehatan Masyarakat (IKM) Fakultas Ilmu Keolahragaan (FIK) Unnes, Senin (14/11). Hadir sebagai pembicara Kepala Bidang Bindal Yankes Kementerian Kesehatan dr Yuswanti MHSc, Kasi Kurikulum Bidang Pendidikan Menengah Dinas Pendidikan Jawa Tengah Drs Bambang Supriyono MPd, dan Ketua Musyawarah Kerja Kepala sekolah (MKKS) Jawa Tengah Drs Bernadin Haryono MPdApt.

Acara yang dipandu Dr dr Oktia Woro KH MKes tersebut juga dihadiri Pembantu Rektor Bidang I Agus Wahyudin MSi dan Dekan FIK Drs Harry Pramono MSi. ”Pola penerapan perilaku sehat dan pendidikan seksual perlu diberikan kepada siswa. Selain itu, derajat kesehatan remaja SMP, SMA, dan SMK juga belum sesuai. Karena itu, Lembaga Pendidikan Tenaga Kependidikan (LPTK) harus mampu melahirkan tenaga pendidik kesehatan masyarakat,” kata Agus Wahyudin.

Dalam sambutannya, Harry Pramono menyatakan dengan sumber daya manusia yang dimiliki, Fakultas Imu Keolahragaan siap melahirkan tenaga kesehatan masyarakat terutama dalam hal kependidikan. Dia menjelaskan, fakultas ini telah memiliki 4.040 mahasiswa yang tersebar di Jurusan PJKR, PKLO, IKOR, dan IKM. ”Jurusan IKM telah memiliki 860 mahasiswa dengan dosen 28 orang,” tandasnya.

Menurut Yuswanti, kerja sama dan komitmen yang kuat diperlukan dalam mencapai indikator kesehatan bagi anak usia sekolah dan remaja. “Tenaga kependidikan dari kesehatan sangat potensial untuk menjadi tenaga pendidik mengingat kompetensinya sangat memadai dalam hal kesehatan khususnya dalam SMK yang berspesialisasi kesehatan,” katanya.

Kondisi di sekolah selama ini, pendidikan kesehatan terintegrasi di seluruh mata pelajaran sehingga semua guru harus mengajarkan dan tidak ada mata pelajaran khusus bidang kesehatan. “Pendidikan kesehatan bisa diajarkan ke sekolah, terutama SMK. Sebab, SMK mempunyai tiga fungsi pokok, yaitu sebagai pusat pendidikan dan latihan, pengembangan sains dan teknologi, dan juga pusat produksi dan pemasaran,” kata Bambang Supriyono.

Bernadin Haryono menegaskan, masih banyak kota atau kabupaten di Jateng yang belum memiliki SMK kesehatan, antara lain Wonosobo, Temanggung, Banjarnegara, Rembang, dan Blora. “Sumber daya manusia sebenarnya sudah produktif, namun masih terkendala guru-guru yang tidak berkualifikasi kependidikan,” katanya.

    Kebanyakan materi/kurikulum pendidikan semakin ngambang. ibarat orang menggali kolam. semakin luas/banyak semakin dangkal. Anak didik tambah koplak. usulku yang tak penting dihapus aja. sedikit tapi mendalami. trims

    lalau fungsi utama GURU PENJAS APA??? lebih baik maksimalkan saja GURU PENJAS… itulah sebabnya banyak sekali Penjas di ibaratkan dg OLAHRAGA… hemmm,,, padahal kalau manfaatkan GURU PENJAS ya lebih efisien…

    Saya heran dengan bagian ‘guru-guru yang tidak berkualifikasi kependidikan’. harusnya kalau emang demikian, yang di konfrontir adalah si empunya kebiajakan yang membolehkan guru-guru tidak berkualifikasi kependidikan. bukan lantas membuka bidang baru.
    Apakah dokter juga memenuhi kualifikasi kependidikan jika dia menjadi seorang pengajar (baca:dosen)? adakah dokter (dosen) kualifikasinya Sarjana Pendidikan Kedokteran? Jangan-jangan semua tenaga pengajar harus bergelar ‘kependidikan’….

  4. Akankah kurukulum di sekolah akan semakin gendut …..kalau semua orang berfikir mapel baru ……guru penjas disekolah lah yang semestinya punya tugas seperti itu……..sebentar lagi ada guru pendidikan anti korupsi….salam
