Air minum punya peran penting dalam memengaruhi kesehatan tubuh. Pasalnya, lebih dari 70 persen bagian tubuh manusia adalah cairan. Sayangnya, air mineral yang kini diminum masyarakat ternyata mengandung logam, baik yang berbahaya maupun tidak, seperti besi (Fe), kromium (Cr), timbel (Pb), maupun Mercury (Hg).

Untuk mengatasi hal itu, dua mahasiswa Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (FMIPA) Unnes mengembangkan air minum kemasan ber-TDS (total dissolved solid) rendah. Sanusi dan Aziz Amrullah, dua mahasiswa tersebut, menjelaskan, air kemasan yang mereka kembangkan memiliki tingkat endapan rendah sesuai dengan standar air minum menyehatkan.

“Air minum kemasan itu kami beri nama “CCOxy”. Sudah kami produksi di dekat kampus Unnes tepatnya di Jalan. Cokro No 9 Sekaran,” kata Sanusi. Menurut mahasiswa semster empat, masyarakat yang ingin memesan dapat menghubungi nomor 085842213072.

CCOxy diproduksi berbagai kemasan yakni kemasan gelas 250 ml, botol 350 ml, botol 600 ml, botol 1000 ml, dan galon 19 liter dengan konsumen mahasiswa, dosen, karyawan, dan masyarakat luas.

Lanjut Sanusi, bulan April 2012 lalu ia telah melakukan uji total dissolved solid (TDS) dan uji elektrolisis beberapa air dipasaran sebagai sampel perbandingan. Hasilnya air mineral CCOxy TDS nya 0 (Nol) ppm (part per milion) dan uji elektolisisnya tetap bening.

Sedangkan, air sumur kandungan TDS nya 10 ppm ada endapan kuning, air galon Refill TDS nya 11 ppm ada endapan kuning, dan air mineral merk X TDS nya 21 ada endapan hijau.

“TDS merupakan satuan banyaknya zat yang terlarut dalam air. Jumlah TDS suatu air minum yang diijinkan oleh Badan Pengawasan Obat dan Makanan (BPOM) berkisar antara 4-12 ppm,” kata Sanusi.

Usaha memproduksi air kemasan ini dibangun bermula dari mengikuti program kreativitas mahasiswa (PKM) kewirausahaan yang diselenggarakan oleh Direktorat Jenderal Pendidikan Tinggi (Dirjen Dikti).

“Dengan semangat menjadi pengusaha muda sukses, kami bertekat mengubah pandangan kebanyakan mahasiswa yang menganggap PKM hanya berakhir pada monitoring dan evaluasi saja tanpa ada follow up setelahnya,” katanya.

Setelah selesai program PKM Dikti, lanjut Sanusi terus melanjutkan usaha ini mengikuti program mahasiswa wirausaha (PMW) yang diselenggarakan oleh Unnes students entrepreneurship center (UNSEC), yakni pusat kewirausahaan mahasiswa Unnes yang memfasilitasi mahasiswa untuk menjadi pengusaha muda yang sukses.

    Patut di apresiasi….kebetulan saya punya usaha sejenis di Semarang bawah yang ternyata dapat memberikan hasil yang sangat baik, meski banyak pesaing namun dengan marketing strategic & promotion mix yang kami terapkan tetap saja pelanggan kami tidak berpaling ke tempat lain. Teringat saat kunjungan ke UNESA kami disuguhi kudapan dengan air kemasan merk UNESA. Seisandainya UNNES punya….sesuatu.

      mba Nining, kami dari Batam, punya usaha yg sama (air minum), klo berkenan tolong sharing donk mba, gimana proses agar air ber TDS rendah, krn saat ini kami pake sistem RO tapi terlalu mahal sparepart dan air buangan banyak (sayang kan air terbuang), trimakasih

    salut buat mahasiswa FMIPA, karakter semacam ini yang harus senantiasa dikembangkan, tujuan hibah PKM-K Dikti memang untuk membentuk karakter mahasiswa yang nantinya dapat membaca pasar, berani mengambil resiko, dan yang terpenting tidak putus asa serta gigih dalam berusaha. Bukan hanya pelaksanaan program yang hanya berakhir pada saat monev saja, tapi lebih dari itu, dapat dikatakan keberhasilan program PKM bukan hanya dilihat dari hasil saat menjalankan program, melainkan apa yang dilakukan setelah monev. Semangat untuk terus bersemangat untuk kalian para pebisnis muda handal..

    saatnya merubah pola pikir menyelesaikan studi dan mencari pekerjaan agar cepat mapan, job seeker sudah banyak di negeri ini, yang harus ditambah kuantitasnya bukan para pencari kerja, melainkan penyedia lapangan kerja. karena tidak dapat dipungkiri Kondisi yang kontras antara demand dan supply tenaga kerja membuat pengangguran terbuka semakin bertambah.

  7. air mineral tetap mengandung zat terlarut seperti ion Na dan K,, dengan nilai TDS zero berarti seperti aquades kan ? padahal mineral juga penting dalam tubuh. uji elektrolisis hanya untuk mengetahui ion dalam air, berarti juga termasuk ion mineral ayng dbutuhkan dalam tubuh. mohon penjelasan .
