LP3 UNNES menyelenggarakan acara Professors go to school pada Sabtu, (11/10) di Aula Labschool UNNES. Kegiatan ini diselenggarakan dalam rangka Pengembangan Keprofesian Berkelanjutan Guru SD Kota Semarang. Acara ini diikuti oleh 153 guru-guru SD di Kota Semarang.

Bertindak sebagai pemateri dalam acara ini adalah Prof. Dr. Subyantoro, M.Hum, pembicara topik Gerakan Literasi Sekolah, dan Prof. Dr. Dewi Liesnoor S, M.Si, untuk Materi Penelitian Tindakan Kelas.

Dalam pemaparan materinya, Subyantoro berpendapat bahwa anak-anak lebih suka bermain game daripada membaca. Anak-anak lebih semangat untuk bermain game karena ada reward, tidak seperti membaca. “Untuk itu salah satu cara untuk menumbuhkan minat baca pada anak adalah dengan memberi contoh dan menciptakan lingkungan yang literat. Peran orang tua di rumah dan guru di sekolah adalah memberi contoh kepada murid-muridnya. Kemudian kita ciptakan lingkungan yang tersedia berbagai sumber bacaan, seperti sudut baca, poster, mading, dsb.” jelasnya.

Setiap guru dituntut harus bisa membuat PTK, karena ini merupakan salah satu syarat untuk kenaikan pangkat, yaitu dengan membuat karya tulis ilmiah, salah satunya berupa PTK.

Menurut Sapto Legowo, Kepala UPTD Kecamatan Gajahmungkur, penilaian angka kredit (PAK) dari guru-guru bisa diukur antara lain melalui pengembangan diri, publikasi ilmiah dan karya inovasi. “Kegiatan semacam ini tentu sangat bermanfaat bagi guru-guru SD di Kota Semarang ini, yaitu untuk pengembangan diri dan menambah wawasan untuk membuat karya sampai publikasi.” tambahnya.

Beliau berharap setelah kegiatan seminar ini, para guru bisa menindaklanjuti dengan membuat Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) di sekolah masing-masing.
