Sekretaris Ditjen Kerja Sama ASEAN Kementerian Luar Negeri Republik Indonesia Ashariyadi sebagai keynote speech mengungkapkan berbagai capaian nyata kerja sama ASEAN, diantaranya yakni ekosistem perdamaian dan stabilitas di kawasan Asia Tenggara yang berbuah pada peningkatan kesejahteraan, Rabu (22/11) di Fakultas Hukum Kampus UNNES Sekaran Gunungpati.

Ashariyadi juga menyampaikan, bidang kerja sama ketenagakerjaan, ASEAN telah menetapkan Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA) untuk mendukung mobilitas tenaga kerja profesional.

Untuk itu, Pusat Studi ASEAN (PSA) UNNES harus semangat melakukan kajian dan pelatihan bagi para calon lulusannya untuk meningkatkan daya saing sehingga dapat bersing dengan lulusan tenaga kerja dari negara anggota ASEAN lainnya.

Rektor UNNES Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman MHum saat membuka Kuliah Umum dengan tema “ASEAN 50: Capaian & Tantangan” menyampaikan, UNNES sebagai rumah ilmu pengembang peradaban unggul, menghargai siapa pun yang memiliki komitmen mengembangkan ilmu pengetahuan.

Dengan ilmu pengetahuan itu, kita berani bersaing dan bersangding di tingkat ASEAN pada Masyarakat Ekonomi ASEAN (MEA).

Sebelumnya, Dekan FH Dr Rondiyah melaporkan Pusat Studi ASEAN FH baru diresmikan bulan Desember 2015 lalu, pertama kali menyatakan sikap tragedi kemanusian terhadap pengungsi rohingnya di myanmar. Kemudian, diikuti dari perguruan tinggi lain, itu menandakan bahwa PSA UNNES berkomitmen dan peka terhadap isu-isu terkini.

Hadir pembicara Prof Dr FX Adji Samekto SH Guru Besar Fakultas Hukum Undip, dan Saru Arifin SH LLM Peneliti Pusat Studi ASEAN Fakultas Hukum UNNES.
