Kepala Pusat Studi Gender dan Anak (PSGA) Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat Universitas Negeri Semarang (LP2M Unnes) Evi Widowati SKM MKes terpilih sebagai Ketua Asosiasi Studi Wanita dan Gender Indonesia (ASWGI) Provinsi Jawa Tengah saat pembentukan ASWGI Jateng, di Hotel By Horison Surakarta, Selasa (23/2). Terpilihnya Evi Widowati ini setelah memperoleh 77% suara dalam pemilihan ketua.

Kepala Sub bidang Penyelenggaraan Pengarusutamaan Gender (PUG) Badan Pemberdayaan Perempuan, Perlindungan Anak dan Keluarga Berencana (BP3AKB) Provinsi Jawa Tengah Dra Sri Dewi Indraja MMsangat mengapresiasi dan mendukung pengurus periode 2016. Dia juga berharap kepengurusan ASWGI Jawa Tengah dapat membangun kerjasama yang strategis dengan lembaga, kementerian terkait dan pemerintah dalam menangani isu-isu perempuan, gender, anak dan keluarga dengan pendekatan yang menyeluruh.
