Kalangan Perguruan Tinggi Negeri/Perguruan Tinggi Swasta (PTN/PTS) se-Jateng dan DIY merasa gelisah terkait dengan akreditasi perguruan tinggi.

“Kegelisahan persoalan akreditasi program studi (prodi) ini menyusul ketentuan pemerintah yang sudah menetapkan batas waktu pengajuan akreditasi maupun akreditasi ulang terhadap prodi yang terakreditasi C pada 31 Agustus lalu,” kata Rektor Undip Prof Sudharto P Hadi selaku juru bicara para rektor PTN dan PTS Jateng-DIY.

Sebagai tuan rumah pada rapat kerja Badan Kerjasama (BKS) PTN dan PTS Jateng-DIY Politeknik Negeri Semarang. Hadir diantaranya Rektor Unnes Prof Fathur Rokhman, Rektor UNS Prof Ravik Karsidi, Rektor UNY Prof Rochmat Wahab, Wakil Rektor UGM  Prof Iwan Dwi P, Direktur Polines Totok Prasetyo.

Kemudian, Direktur Polimarin Semarang Tuti Sri Rahayu, Koordinator Kopertis Wilayah V DIY Prof Bambang Supriyadi dan Koordinator Kopertis Wilayah VI Jateng Prof Sugiharto. Kegiatan berlangsung 6–7 September di Hotel Grand Candi Semarang.

Jika nantinya setelah akreditasi yang diajukan dinyatakan gagal, kata Rektor Undip, maka prodi yang diusulkan tersebut tidak terakreditasi. Padahal pada Undang-undang nomor 12/2012 tentang Pendidikan Tinggi menjelaskan bahwa izin penyelenggaraan prodi melekat pada akreditasi. Sehingga jika prodi tidak terakreditasi, akibatnya prodi tersebut terancam tutup atau dibubarkan.

Hasil rapat ini, kata Prof Sudharto, kalangan PTN/PTS se-Jateng dan DIY mendesak Dirjen Pendidikan Tinggi (Dikti) Kemdikbud segera membuat aturan tentang nasib prodi yang tidak lolos dalam akreditasi.

“Ini usulan konkret dari kami. Kalau tidak terakreditasi, sama saja prodi yang diajukan tidak boleh menyelenggarakan pendidikan lagi. Inilah yang menjadi kebingungan di kalangan PTN/PTS,” kata Koordinator Kopertis V Yogyakarta Bambang Supriyadi.

Hal yang sama juga disampaikan oleh Koordinator Kopertis Wilayah VI Jateng Prof DYP Sugiharto. Dia berharap pusat segera mengeluarkan aturan agar prodi yang tidak terakreditasi agar tidak bingung.

Prof Sugiharto mengatakan, di wilayah Jateng ada 247 PTS jumlah prodinya 1.055. Dari  jumlah itu, terdapat 126 prodi masih terakreditasi C. “Prodi yang terakreditasi C itulah yang kemarin diusulkan kembali ke pusat untuk akreditasi ulang,” ujarnya.

Kami mengharapkan Dirjen Dikti segera mengeluarkan aturan soal tindak lanjut bagi prodi yang tidak terakreditasi bagaimana nanti mahasiswa dan dosennya, jika prodi tidak terakreditasi. Apakah mahasiswanya digabung dengan PTS lain yang sama prodinya, dan bagaimana nasib dosennya.

    Kebijakan tersebut memang harus dilakukan, karena banyaknya Perguruan Tinggi yang membuka prodi tanpa memperhatikan akreditasi. sehingga banyak menghasilkan kuantitas lulusan dan sedikit yang berkualitas.

    harap diperhatikan nasib mahasiswa yang memilih kuliah di PTN/ PTS bersangkutan, sebagai tempat terbaik yang sudah mereka pilih.
