Jurusan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni (FBS) menambah jumlah dosen berkualifikasi doktor setelah Dr Wagiran dinyatakan lulus ujian terbuka pada Kamis (18/5).

Dr Wagiran berhasil mempertahankan disertasi berjudul “Sistem Evaluasi Komprehensi Hasil Belajar Bahasa Indonesi di SMP” di depan promotor Prof Dr Dandan Supratman, kopromotor Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman, dan penguji Prof Dr Rustono.

Kelulusan ahli evaluasi pembelajaran ini diharapkan semakin memperkuat Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) menjadi lembaga pendidikan tenaga kependidikan (LPTK) unggul.

Secara terpisah, Rektor Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman mengungkapkan bahwa kualifikasi pendidikan dosen adalah salah satu perhatiannya. Sebab, kualitas dosen memiliki dampak langsung terhadap kualitas pembelajaran.

Pihaknya menargetkan, pada akhir 2018 minimal 25 persen dosen UNNES telah berkualifikasi doktor. Oleh karena itu, ia mendorong dosen yang sedang tugas belajar S3 segera menyelesaikan pendidikannya. Adapun dosen yang berpendidikan S2 diharapkan segera melanjutkan ke jenjang doktor.
