Mahasiswa Praktik Pengalaman Lapangan (PPL) diharapakan mampu menampilkan diri sebagai agen konservasi. Setidaknya ada tiga ciri yang harus muncul selama mahasiswa menempuh PPL di sekolah praktik yaitu ramah, hormat, dan berprestasi.

Rektor Unnes Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman MHum menyampaikan itu saat melepas 3.114 mahasiswa PPL, Senin (29/7) di Lapangan Rektorat Unnes.

“Jangan sampai 3 karakter itu dilupakan. Harus dipegang teguh selama Saudara sekalian praktik di lapangan,” katanya.

Selain menunjukan 3 karakter mahasiswa Unnes, mahasiswa PPL juga harus memenuhi 4 kompetensi pendidik sebagaimana diamanatkan Permendiknas No. 16 Tahun 2007. Dalam aturan itu, guru harus memiliki kompetensi kepribadian, sosial, profesional, dan pedagogik.

“Empat jurus itu, ibarat seorang pendekar, adalah senjata utama yang akan Anda bawa saat turun gunung,” katanya. “Namun itu saja belum cukup, calon guru yang professional adalah yang bermartabat,” lanjutnya.

Empat kompetensi tersebut selaras dengan ruang lingkup PPL, yakni mengajar, praktik administrasi, praktik bimbingan dan konseling, serta kegiatan kokurikuler dan ekstrakurikuler.

Kepala Pusat Pengembangan PPL Drs Masugino MPd melaporkan, PPL mahasiswa Unnes akan dilaksanakan pada 29 Juli sampai 19 Oktober 2013 dengan melibatkan 218 sekolah mitra, 1.281 dosen pembimbing, dan 1.766 guru pamong.

Sekolah mitra meliputi tingkat PAUD, SD, SMP, SMA, AMK, dan SKB. Berlokasi di 9  Kota/Kabupaten yakni Kota Semarang, Kabupaten Semarang, Kota pekalongan, Kota Magelang, Kabupaten Magelang, Kota Salatiga, Kabupaten Kendal, Kota Tegal, Kabupaten Batang, dan Kabupaten Demak.

Selain telah menempuh mata kuliah microteaching, mahasiswa telah mengikuti pembekalan micro teaching sejak 15 sampai 26 Juli 2013.
