Maulana Al Habib Umar Muthohar mengatakan, salah satu hal yang dapat membuat sebuah negara mengalami kegagalan adalah iri dan dengki. “Dalam lingkungan kerja, kedengkian jika dibiarkan juga akan membuat kita gagal meraih kesuksesan,” ujarnya, ketika memberi ceramah dalam acara halalbihalal civitas akademika Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes), Kamis (7/8), di auditorium kampus Sekaran.

Ia melanjutkan, kedengkian harus ditaklukkan karena manusia tidak pernah lepas dari hawa nafsu. ”Kita menjadi orang yang banyak dikendalikan oleh hawa nafsu, seharusnya hawa nafsu itu yang harus kita kendalikan,” katanya.

Momen Lebaran, menurut Habib Umar, merupakan kesempatan yang baik dalam pengendalian diri. Di hari raya ini, setelah kita berhasil mengendalikan diri memerangi hawa nafsu selama sebulan penuh, maka jadilah kita sebagai ‘raja’. “Raja yang berhasil mengendalikan pikiran, mulut, dan tangan,” katanya.

Lebaran juga momen yang baik untuk sarana refleksi diri. Ia mengajak segenap civitas untuk saling memaafkan dan menjauhkan diri dari prasangka buruk, yang tidak berhubungan dengan semangat akademik. “Setelah bermaaf-maafan, mari hilangkan sifat buruk itu,” katanya, di hadapan 1.600 dosen dan karyawan Unnes.

Rektor Unnes Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman MHum menyampaikan Idul Fitri tahun ini merupakan berkah tersendiri bagi Unnes. “Berdasar rilis webometrics, Unnes mendapatkan posisi 13 nasional perguruan tinggi yang unggul dari sisi publikasi website,” kata Prof Fathur.
