Hal yang harus dicapai oleh guru yang memperoleh sertifikasi adalah profesionalitas, bermartabat, dan gelar baru yang disematkan pemerintah: berkarakter.

Hal itu ditandaskan oleh Pembantu Rektor Bidang Akademik Agus Wahyudin MSi, dalam penyerahan setifikat tenaga pendidik Rayon 112, Senin (16/1), di rektorat kampus Sekaran. Acara tersebut dihadiri Rektor Unnes Prof Sudijono Sastroatmodjo,dan Kepala Lembaga Penjamin Mutu Pendidikan (LPMP) Jawa Tengah, juga Sekretaris Lembaga Pengembangan Pendidikan Profesi (LP3) Unnes Dr Hartono yang menyerahkan secara simbolis sertifikat pendidik kepada wakil dari tiap-tiap kabupaten dan kota.

Agus Wahyudin mengatakan, LP3 dan LPMP telah mengupayakan standar yang harus dipenuhi para guru calon penerima sertifikasi di lapangan. “Tahun kemarin, dari 11.160 peserta, 10% di antaranya tidak lulus setelah dilakukan ujian ulang,” katanya.

Tahun ini, sebelum mengikuti Pendidikan dan Latihan Profesi Guru (PLPG), peserta harus mengikuti uji kompetensi terlebih dahulu. “Hal itu dimaksudkan supaya guru yang mengikuti program ini merupakan guru yang layak untuk menyandang predikat profesional,” ujarnya.

Sedangkan kesejahteraan yang diterima harus dimaknai sebagai imbas dari profesionalitas itu. “Kesejahteraan adalah hal yang harus disyukuri. Di sisi lain, kualitas kerja Anda merupakan tulang punggung dan harapan negeri ini,” katanya, di hadapan puluhan wakil guru penerima sertifikasi dari berbagai kabupaten dan kota.

Menyinggung tentang isu yang menyebutkan bahwa peserta dapat lulus sertifikasi dengan membayar sejumlah uang, Agus Wahyudin mengungkapkan, hal itu tidak benar. “Kami telah menyelidiki secara mendalam. Unnes tidak pernah menyelenggarakannya dan itu murni penipuan,” paparnya.

Prof Sudijono dalam kesempatan itu mengungkapkan, tujuan utama sertifikasi adalah meningkatkan kinerja. ”Sebanyak 10% peserta yang tidak lulus sertifikasi harus lila legawa dan menjadikan hal itu sebagai introspeksi,” katanya.

“Dene ana dulure sing durung lulus, kuwi ya lumrah. Kaya ujian, mesthine ana sing lulus ana sing ora,” (Jika ada saudara yang belum lulus, itu hal yang lumrah. Seperti halnya ujian, pastinya ada yang lulus dan ada yang tidak),” kata Rektor.
