Sebanyak enam mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Bahasa Jepang Fakulatas Bahasa dan Seni Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) keliah ke Jepang selama dua semester dengan program Joint Degree.

Pelepasan oleh Rektor Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman MHum, diwakili Wakil Rektor Bidang Akademik Prof Rustono MHum, Jumat (29/9) di rektorat UNNES.

Prof Rustono menyampaikan, rektor mohon maaf tidak bisa melepas secara langsung karena ada kegiatan di Magelang. Untuk itu, ketika sesampainya di Jepang cepat menyesuaikan diri dengan lingkungan dan kebudayaan di negara tersebut.

Selain melepas, pada waktu yang bersamaan pula Prof Rustono juga menerima kembali enam mahasiswa UNNES yang telah selesai melakukan Joint Degree di perguruan tinggi yang sama.

Keenam mahasiswa tersebut didampingi oleh dosen pendamping Chevy Kusumah Wardhana SPd MPd sampai tujuan.
Chevy menerangkan, mereka akan melakukan perkuliahan selama satu tahun mulai Oktober 2017 sampai Agustus 2018 di Seifu Institute of Information Technology (i-Seifu) Osaka Jepang.

Enam mahasiswa yang melakukan Program Joint Degree tahun ke 3 yakni Dyah Retno Arianti, Shielvo Elisa Anggiana, Gilang Aldilla Eva, Rudi Sulistiyanto, M Ricty Nabila Basil, dan Galang Rambu Atmaja.

Selama di Jepang mahasiswa akan belajar bahasa dan budaya Jepang serta bisa mengikuti program Arubaito (kerja paruh waktu).

Chevy menambahkan, selain Program Joint Degree ada juga progran lain yang diikuti diantaranya yakni beasiswa Japanese Language Education Capacity Building Southeast Asian Theachers Training College Course diselenggarakan oleh The Japan Foundation Kansai Center, Program Internship di Okinawa dan Hokkaido, Program Oversea Students Internship Program, Beasiswa pemerintah Jepang, dan program internship kerja sama dengan Minori.
