Pembukaan Dies Natalis Ke-49 Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) pada Rabu, 29 Januari 2013, akan diramaikan penampilan tari kolosal oleh 160 mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu Sosial (FIS) Unnes.

Sutradara pementasan Bintang Hanggoro Putra MHum mengatakan, tari berjudul “Gatra Nirmala” itu berkisah tentang keberagaman yang ada di Universitas Konservasi. “Di kampus ini, civitas akademika berasal dari berbagai latar belakang suku, budaya, dan agama. Tapi perbedaan itu justru jadi pemicu untuk selalu bersatu dan mempertahankan jatidiri,” ujarnya kepada unnes.ac.id, Rabu (22/1).

Menurut Bintang, dalam penyajiannya, tari ini melibatkan sebanyak 100 penari perempuan, 60 laki-laki, dan 15 pengiring. Pembukaan dimulai pukul 07.00 di lapangan atletik Fakultas Ilmu Keolahragaan (FIK) Unnes.

Acara juga bakal dimeriahkan senam konservasi, jalan sehat, parade budaya, bazar, dan pembagian doorprize. Gubernur Jawa Tengah Ganjar Pranowo yang juga Ketua Dewan Penyantun Unnes dijadwalkan hadir dalam pembukaan Dies Natalis yang tahun ini mengusung tema “Konservasi, Harmoni!” itu.

    Mahasiswa FIS pun ternyata bisa menari…tetap semangat berlatih, Saudaralah mahasiswa-mahasiswa hebat yang bersedia berkorban demi FIS, ketika banyak mahasiswa lain banyak yang sedang menikmati kesenangannya sendiri. FIS…..Ceria, Ceria, Ceria.
