Peringatan Hari Tari Dunia 2017 di Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) dibuka Sabtu pagi, 29 April 2017, di Gedung B6 Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni kampus Sekaran, Gunungpati, Kota Semarang. Peringatan HTD di kampus yang memiliki visi Berwawasan Konservasi Bereputasi Internasional tahun ini merupakan hasil kerja sama dengan Sekretariat Jenderal MPR RI.

“Peringatan Hari Tari Dunia ini menjadi bentuk sosialisasi nilai luhur bangsa yang terkandung dalam empat pilar MPR RI, yaitu Pancasila, Undang-Undang Dasar 1945, Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia (NKRI), dan Bhineka Tunggal Ika,” kata Kepala Biro Humas Sekretariat Jenderal MPR RI, Siti Fauziyah, dalam sambutannya.

Hadir dalam kesempatan itu antara lain anggota DPR Mujib Rohmat dan Moh Arwani Thomafi, dan anggota MPR yang juga anggota DPD Jawa Tengah Bambang Sadono. Dari UNNES, hadir Wakil Rektor Bidang Perencanaan dan Kerja Sama Prof Sukestiyarno, Dekan FBS Prof Agus Nuryatin, sejumlah pimpinan, dosen, dan mahasiswa. Teknis penyelenggaraan HTD UNNES ditangani oleh Jurusan Seni Drama Tari dan Musik (Sendratasik).

Pembukaan dimulai dengan arak-arakan tamu kehormatan dari luar gedung menuju kursi di depan panggung. Setelah disajikan tarian penyambutan dan seremonial, acara dilanjutkan dengan pertunjukan sejumlah tarian Nusantara secara beruntun. Di akhir acara pembukaan, seluruh tamu diberi sampur (selendang) sebelum diajak bersama menarikan sebuah tarian sederhana.

HTD UNNES 2017 bertema “Kebhinekaan Tari Nusantara Menginspirasi Dunia” ini melibatkan 126 kelompok penari yang membawakan jenis 106 tari. Jumlah penari yang terlibat tercatat tidak kurang dari 1.000 orang. Mereka secara bergiliran membawakan tari di tiga titik kampus, yaitu di Gedung B6, panggung terbuka, dan Kampung Budaya, mulai pukul 06.00—18.00. Atas banyaknya keragaman tari yang dibawakan itu, Lembaga Prestasi Indonesia-Dunia (Leprid) mencatatnya sebagai rekor pergelaran yang menampilkan keragaman tari paling banyak. Penyerahan plakat penghargaan oleh Leprid dilakukan di sela pembukaan acara.

Siti Fauziyah mengatakan, sosialisasi empat pilar selama ini dilakukan melalui beragam cara dengan menyesuaikan audiens. Untuk kalangan pelajar, misalnya, sosialisasi dilakukan melalui cerdas cermat, untuk masyarakat umum, sosialisasi bisa diselipkan melalui pergelaran wayang kulit.

“Baru pertama kali ini kami bekerja sama dengan UNNES dalam hal seni dan budaya. Ini menjadi upaya reaktualisasi dan internasionalisasi, sebagai bentuk apresiasi dan langkah nyata. Seni dan budaya tradisi mungkin banyak yang sudah melupakan, tetapi kami melihat UNNES berkomitmen melestarikan dan mengembangkannya,” kata Siti.

Bambang Sadono mengatakan, karya seni menyimpan makna filosofis yang mendalam. Bambang mencontohkan, dalam tari bambangan cakil, tokoh Arjuna sebagai simbol kesatria dalam perangnya tidak menyentuh musuhnya yang berwujud buto atau raksasa. Namun, Arjuna cukup menyalurkan energinya melalui kibasan sampur dan mampu membuat musuh tumbang. Di akhir perang, kebaikan selalu mengalahkan angkaramurka. Dengan demikian, seni, menurut dia, mampu menyimbolkan peperangan yang kejam dalam bentuk yang halus. “Pesan ini yang mesti kita ketahui bersama,” kata Bambang.

Prof Sukestiyarno menyampaikan, kampusnya konsisten mewujudkan kampus yang menjadikan konservasi budaya sebagai salah satu pilar konservasi. Budaya Nusantara, menurut dia, menjadi modal kuat untuk mendorong kampus bereputasi internasional. “Penyelenggaraan Hari Tari Dunia ini menjadi bagian tidak terpisahkan dari tujuan tersebut,” ujarnya.
