Meneguhkan Karakter Melalui Bahasa dan Sastra menjadi tema Seminar Nasional Literasi yang diselenggarakan Jurusan Bahasa dan Sastra Asing, Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES), Sabtu (29/10).

Empat pembicara yang hadir sebagai pembicara seminar yang diadakan di Ruang Bundar Dekanat FBS UNNES, yaitu  Drs Pardi MHum (Kepala Balai Bahasa Jawa Tengah), Igarashi Yuka (tenaga ahli bahasa Jepang untuk guru SMA dari Japan Foundation),  He Yanjie (pakar bahasa Mandarin dari Hebei Normal University China), dan Dr Dihyatun Masqon MA (Wakil Rektor bidang kerjasama Universitas Darussalam Gontor).

Melalui  paparannya, Drs Pardi MHum menyampaikan peranan sastra dalam pembentukan karakter. Menurutnya banyak karya sastra yang mengajarkan karakter, budi pekerti, sayangnya tidak banyak generasi muda yang tertarik dengan karya sastra asli Indonesia yang sebenarnya kaya dengan nilai-nilai luhur, yang berperan dalam pembentukan karakter.

Pembicara kedua Igarashi Yuka menyampaikan pengembangan buku pelajaran bahasa Jepang SMA ‘Nihonggo Kira Kira’, sebagai buku pelajaran yang disesuaikan dengan K13, yang mampu membelajarkan bahasa Jepang secara kreatif, mandiri, dan menyenangkan.

Pembicara ketiga adalah He Yanjie, menyampaikan bahwa belajar bahasa Mandarin tidak bisa lepas dari kebudayaan, sehingga kombinasi bahasa dan budaya mewujudkan dunia yang indah. Komunikasi dua negara, Indonesia dan China menciptakan peluang pembelajaran bahasa dan budaya dari kedua negara. Sedangkan pembicara keempat, yaitu Dr Dihyatun Masqon MA memaparkan bahwa metode pembelajaran itu lebih penting daripada materi, akan tetapi guru lebih penting daripada metode, yang terpenting adalah jiwa guru. Maka mencetak guru merupakan pintu masuk dalam menanamkan karakter.

Pada seminar nasional kali ini, juga dilakukan penandatanganan MoU Kerjasama antara Balai Bahasa Jawa Tengah dengan Jurusan Bahasa dan Sastra Asing, FBS UNNES.
