Kunci dari sebuah keberhasilan adalah disiplin dan kerja keras, karena mimpi tidak akan terwujud hanya dengan tidur terus menerus. Sakit, lelah dan membosankan saat latihan terbayar ketika menjadi juara dan berprestasi.

Mantan juara dunia kelas bulu versi Asosiasi Tinju Dunia (WBA) Chris John  mengatakan hal itu saat menjadi pembicara National Conference on Sports and Health  (NACOSH), di auditorium Prof Wuryanto Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES), Sabtu (7/10).

Mantan petinju yang juga atlet wushu ini menyarankan kepada ratusan peserta seminar untuk memilih olahraga yang disukai, apapun itu. Bila ingin lebih serius lagi, Chris John menyatakan mencari pelatih yang bisa sejalan dengan target yang diinginkan.

Senada dengan Chris John, mantan petenis peringkat 19 Dunia yang juga sebagai anggota DPR RI KOMISI X Yayuk Basuki menambahkan, mimpi itu sesuatu yang harus diperjuangkan melalui usaha yang maksimal, dan prestasi terbaik akan bisa diraih asalkan fokus dan terus semangat dalam berlatih.

Seminar Nasional yang diinisiasi Badan Eksekutif Mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu Keolahragaan (BEM FIK) UNNES ini, menurut ketua panitia Lia Diah Kumalasari, memang ditujukan untuk memberi pemahaman bagi masyarakat tentang olahraga dan kesehatan.

Pemimpin redaksi harian Suara Merdeka Amir Mahmud, dan Profesor Ilmu Keolahragaan FIK UNNES Prof Dr Soegiyanto Ms juga ikut sebagai  pembicara pada acara yang dibuka oleh Wakil Rektor bidang Kemahasiswaan Dr Bambang Budi Raharjo MSi.

Dalam sambutannya, Bambang BR mengatakan kegiatan ini merupakan langkah yang dilakukan BEM FIK sesuai dengan visi UNNES, yakni menjadikan universitas berwawasan konservasi bereputasi internasional.
