Simulasi penanganan bencana menjadi agenda utama saat Pendidikan Latihan Dasar (Diklatsar) dan Pelantikan Anggota Baru Korps Sukarela Palang Merah Indonesia (KSR PMI) Unit Universitas Negeri Semarang, Rabu-Minggu, (16-27/2), di area kampus Sekaran.

Diklatsar dilaksanakan 10 hari , diawali pemberian materi di dalam ruangan dan praktik di lapangan. Puncaknya, Sabtu peserta melakukan praktik simulasi penanganan bencana. Kemudian diakhiri upacara penutupan serta pengumuman kelulusan pada hari Minggu.

Komandan KSR PMI Unnes Taufikurrohman mengatakan, kegiatan tersebut bertujuan untuk membina kemampuan anggota agar selalu siap siaga dalam mengabdi pada masyarakat. “Selain itu, untuk merekrut anggota baru, meningkatkan kemampuan dan ketepatan penanganan kasus dalam kegiatan kepalangmerahan, serta membentuk para kader baru yang siap diterjunkan dalam usaha kemanusiaan,” katanya.

Pada angkatan XXV ini tercatat 76 mahasiswa yang mengikuti Diklatsar. Ketika pengumuman, 71 mahasiswa dinyatakan lulus.
