Sebanyak 45 profesor Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) akan mengajar di SD, SMP, dan SMA. Selain mengajar, mereka yang tergabung dalam program Professors Go to Schools itu bakal mengawal pelaksanaan Kurikulum 2013.

Peluncuran program itu ditandai dengan penyerahan buku pedoman pendampingan implementasi Kurikulum 2013 oleh Rektor Unnes Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman MHum kepada koordinator program, Prof Dr Mungin Eddy Wibowo MPd Kons, Kamis (7/11), di ruang senat kampus Sekaran.

Menurut Rektor, program tersebut terdiri atas dua hal, yakni secara langsung mengajar siswa SD/SMP/SMA/SMK dan mengawal pelaksanaan kurikulum di kalangan guru dan siswa. “Dengan mengajar, para profesor diharapkan mampu menginspirasi anak-anak yang sedang berkembang dengan cita-cita masing-masing. Dengan mendampingi guru dan kepala sekolah, baik lewat kegiatan in (survei) maupun on (tindakan), para profesor mengawal pelaksanaan Kurikulum 2013,” katanya seraya menyebutkan, program bakal dilaksanakan berbagai sekolah di Kota Semarang, Kabupaten Semarang, Kendal, Demak, dan Kota Salatiga.

Rektor juga mengungkapkan, dalam program yang direncanakan berlangsung November-Desember 2013 itu, paling tidak ada dua aspek yang ditekankan. “Pertama, mengubah mindset guru dan kepala sekolah agar lebih menguatkan pembelajaran ke pendekatan saintifik. Kedua, membudayakan pembelajaran inovatif. Kedua hal itu merupakan roh utama Kurikulum 2013,” ungkap Rektor di hadapan para profesor, kepala sekolah yang bakal menjadi tempat kegiatan, para pejabat Dinas Pendidikan Kota/Kabupaten dan Provinsi, dan Lembaga Penjaminan Mutu Pendidikan (LPMP) Jateng itu.

Sekadar catatan, implementasi Kurikulum 2013 bersifat bertahap dan terbatas. Belum semua sekolah melaksanakannya. Di Jawa Tengah, kurikulum yang sempat memicu aneka polemik itu baru dilaksanakan di 347 SD, 2o1 SMP, 148 SMA, dan 178 SMK.

    Kiranya sangatlah mendukung sekali Prof turun gunung, tidak usah mengajar di kelas cukup memberi pelatihan ke SD Gugus/ KKG, MGMP, atau org kependidikan yg lain secara intensif itu sdh sangat membantu guru untuk meningkatkan kinerjanya. Jangan turun gunung hanya ingin membuka seminar dan workshop guru membayar dg sejumlah uang itu akan percuma, agar diprogram secara serius kalau ingin meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di Indonesia.

    Untuk informasi bahwa pelaksanaan pendampingan implementasi kurikulum 2013 hanya dilakukan oleh sekolah kluster yang akan mengkoordinir pada sekolah sasaran. Sehingga pada akhir kegiatan akan ada lokakarya yang mendatangkan narasumber. Selain turun langsung untuk melihat bagaimana jalanya proses pendampingan. Bisa juga para Prof UNNES dengan tri darma PT untuk memberikan / sebagai narasumber pada lokakarya tersebut. terimakasih. (Handi, Staff Waka Kurikulum SMK N 1 Bawen)

    Di Jepang, Profesor turun mengajar sudah dijalankan secara kontinyu. Dengan seperti itu, para profesor tidak menjadi menara gading, dan tahu kondisi di lapangan. sangat bagus ketik Profesor secara langsung mengajar di kelas, agar guru-guru dapat menyerap bagaimana cara mengajar yang baik laiknya profesor.

    Gagasan yang sungguh patut diapresiasi. Sayang sudah lulus SD/SMP/SMA/ jadi tidak bisa ikut diajar prof dari Unnes. Bahkan se-ingat saya juga kuliah di Unnes pun sampai lulus belum pernah merasakan diajar atau pun berdiskusi langsung dengan para prof dari almamater sendiri. Salam Sutera.
